This thesis investigates a new and efficient solution to hiding a gray image inside a color image by using combination of LSB (Least Significant Bit) technique and genetic algorithm (GA) used to cover the optimal solution permutation for embedding for pixel assortment of image where data is to be concealed so that detection of secret information become multifarious. ... According to experimental findings using test images from the USC-SIPI image database the stego-image and the cover image are visually indistinguishable. The results Visual quality of image is measured by Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), main square error (MSE) and Structural Similarity Index Metric (SSIM).and produced demonstrate a notable advancement comparing with anther works. 1.1  problem Statement Bits per pixel (bpp) is a unit of measurement for quantity, and any performance metric, such as the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) or the structural similarity index measure(SSIM), can be used to quantify quality. 1.2  paper Objective Robustness is important element that could have a big impact on the steganography algorithm. This phrase refers to the message's ability to remain visible when a steganography image is vulnerable to a variety of planned or accidental attacks, such as cropping, noise reduction, and compression. The technique is termed to as robust if the message survives attacks; otherwise, it is considered to as fragile technique.   Perceptibility is the most crucial aspect to take into account when encoding a message in an image. This indicates that the viewer shouldn't be able to see the changes made to the cover picture after the message was embedded. The confidentiality requirement of steganography will be violated if the modifications are visible to the human eye, which will betray the presence of anything in it. Deadline : December/2022
