We are seeking a skilled DBA Expert to join our team and oversee the management of our big data databases. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in big data technologies, experience with database administration and management, and the ability to lead a team of database administrators.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and related tools.
- Experience with database administration and management for big data systems.
- Strong understanding of database performance, data quality, and data security principles.
- Experience leading and managing a team of database administrators.
- Hands-on with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Manage the administration and maintenance of our big data databases, including monitoring and performance optimization.
- Develop and implement effective database management processes and best practices for our big data systems.
- Collaborate with developers and data engineers to identify and address issues related to database performance, data quality, and data security.
- Conduct as a database administrator to ensure the quality and reliability of our big data databases.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures for the big data systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security and privacy policies.
- Develop and maintain Metadata storage on Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- Define and keep data catalogues and glossaries up to date.
