Senior Front-End Developer

Our tech stack includes ReactJS and React Native, supporting dynamic web and mobile applications. This role involves working remotely as part of our outsourced team. Responsibilities:

• Lead the full frontend development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with backend developers and project managers to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Develop and maintain a high-quality codebase for our web (ReactJS) and mobile (React Native) applications.
• Implement new features and improve the performance and functionality of our applications.
• Ensure seamless operation and integration with various third-party services.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to our front-end processes and technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in frontend development, particularly with ReactJS and React Native.
• Knowledge of React Native is a must.
• Strong understanding of modern web and mobile application development practices.
• Proven ability to work with both legacy systems and modern codebases, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with integrating third-party services and APIs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment, with a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for learning and sharing knowledge with the team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required).
• Fluent in English and able to effectively communicate with other team members.
• Core Web Technologies: Ensure proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they are fundamental to web development.
• Responsive Design: Emphasize the ability to create interfaces that adapt to various devices and screen sizes using responsive design techniques.
• Performance Optimization: Highlight the importance of diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks, along with experience in performance testing and optimization techniques such as caching, code splitting, and lazy loading.
• Testing Proficiency: Include familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine, and the ability to conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Technical Documentation: Stress the importance of the ability to write clear and detailed technical design documents, enhancing communication and project clarity.

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Working hours: 4 out of the 8 working hours should be based on the Vancouver time zone.
Job Type: Full-time
Probationary Period: 3 months

This is a full-time remote job, with 174 hours per month and your work will be tracked using the Time Doctor platform.
