We are hiring a Service Desk Specialist who plays a critical role in designing and implementing high-quality, performant user interfaces. This position requires strong technical expertise to deliver clean, standardized code while meeting project timelines and solving complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Expertise in company operating systems to install, configure, troubleshoot, and provide hardware/software support.
- Configure security settings and manage group or individual access permissions.
- Familiarity with passive network equipment, cable installation, and device mounting.
- Research hardware/software products to fulfill organizational needs, submit procurement requests.
- Configure Internal Network Equipment and Client Hardware.
- Create and update technical documentation for hardware/software installations.
- Assess performance and test organizational services to ensure availability.
- Generate reports on resources and equipment for applying security patches, detecting malware, and identifying potential issues.
- Configure phone extensions and register IP Phone/Soft Phone devices to connect with the telephony system.
- Support and administer Virtual Desktops (VDI), including problem resolution, user access management, and performance monitoring.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience
- Military Status: Exempt or Completed Service (Where Applicable)
- Proficiency in Computer, Laptop, and Printer Configuration (CompTIA A+)
- Proficiency in Network Concepts (CompTIA Network+), Networking at CCNA Level
- Microsoft Active Directory and Services (MCSA Level), Linux OS Administration (LPIC-1 familiarity)
- CompTIA Security+ Certification Knowledge
- Familiar with Virtualization and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Familiar with Microsoft Exchange Server Administration
- Familiar with VOIP & Issabel Systems
- Familiar with ITIL Framework, Service Desk Tools, Endpoint Central
