Position Summary
The Legal Supervisor (Contracts) is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing key contracts, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies, and minimizing contractual risks. The role leads the contracts legal team, works closely with senior commercial managers, and acts as a strategic business partner: enabling commercial growth while safeguarding the company’s interests. The mission is not to block business, but to identify risks, communicate them clearly, and provide practical solutions that allow the business to move forward with maximum benefit and managed risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, focusing on large and high-value agreements.
- Standardize templates, maintain negotiation playbooks, and update key contractual clauses.
- Partner with business leaders to find solutions that enable transactions while managing risk.
- Provide legal advice to departments on contractual obligations and potential risks.
- Collaborate with the litigation team to incorporate lessons learned from disputes into preventive contract drafting.
- Work closely with senior commercial managers to structure strategic deals with balanced risk allocation.
- Prepare reports on key contract status, risks, and issues for senior management.
- Conduct internal workshops to increase contract awareness and negotiation skills.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the contracts legal team, including task allocation and performance evaluation.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional legal experience in a corporate/in-house environment, with significant exposure to contract law.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of civil, commercial, and labor law, and contract-related regulations.
- Advanced contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
- Ability to balance legal risk with commercial priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
- Proficiency in Legal English (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Professional ethics, accountability, and a partnership approach with the business.
