Wood in the UAE is looking to expand its Engineering capabilities in Abu Dhabi to address a significant pipeline of Offshore Oil and Gas facilities expansion projects, building on the current local capabilities and the wide experience available in the other Wood centers of excellence including in the UK and USA. In support of this plan, we are looking for experienced Lead Piping Engineers with proven track record in the marine environment with ADNOC and other client in the Middle East and globally.   Main Job Purpose - Project coordination of Piping team and reporting to Project or Engineering Manager on project related matters - Act as Piping Lead Engineer for the project. - Planning, scheduling and execution of discipline activities and deliverables, including manhour estimating when requested. - Manage discipline work to the required schedule and manpower allocation, including requesting personnel as identified by the plan, and day-to-day supervision of piping discipline personnel on the project. This includes approval of timesheets, holiday approval and overtime approval where delegated - Review project Basis of Design (BOD) and Project Execution Plan (PEP) - Liaise with project team, client, fabricator / installer or other parties as required to determine and impliment piping project reporting needs - Ensure the piping project reporting format adheres to Wood and Client standards and procedures - Report on work status /problem areas / needs on a weekly and monthly basis. - Perform Piping Design activities, including checking, as required in accordance with the Operation of Discipline proecedure - Ensure all project documentation is checked in accordance with the Operation of Discipline procedure - Coordinating with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of project deliverables and ensuring that other disciplines’ input is incorporated - Ensure Piping 3D model and / or 2D package quality and completeness - Review Piping 3D model and / or 2D package to confirm adherence to Wood and Client standards and procedures, utilising 3D design software tools as appropriate - Perform periodic overall model reviews to assure level of content. Reviews for overall completeness, general safety issues, access and egress, materials handling scheme is being adhered to, maintenance and operability - Ensures the project Piping team is meeting the requirements for formal and informal Engineering / Client 3D model review(s) as per Wood / Client procedures. - Work with the 3D CAD Coordinator to assure that project is closed out properly upon completion

Successsful candidate will be responsible for below duties; - Work independently in the group and lead Civil and structural Design Engineers and work in a team of engineering and design office - Apply experience, engineering techniques, codes, standards, analysis calculations, specification, company procedures, sound judgment, and design criteria to conduct his work - Ensure that all civil and structural works done at company are per approved specifications - Prepare quality assurance and control documents for civil / structural jobs - Field inspection of work activities, surveying and measurement taking - Act Lead Engineer for civil / structural related projects / jobs - Prepare drawings for design and produce himself in electronic format. Wood is currently bidding for Senior Finite Element Analysis Engineer specialising in pipeline design, to join our dynamic, friendly team in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects to deliver high value business systems to prestigious organisations within the region.   He/She will be work on subsea pipeline projects in many challenging geographic and field production situations. He/She will be applying the latest limit state design methods to scenarios such as pipeline burst, collapse, propagation buckling, lateral buckling, upheaval buckling, spanning and on bottom stability. Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Corrosion / Integrity Engineer to join our Asset Integrity Team in Abu Dhabi for a permanent role.   Job Responsibilities - Will be shadowing the Materials & Corrosion Lead (Team Lead) for the business in support of the growth and technical assurance delivery - Carry out Corrosion assessment on pipelines, piping and equipment, preferable software experience (e.g Wood ECE model) - Providing technical support in project’s related tasks; RBI and Corrosion Inspection Manuals for their operating assets and new projects - Leading engineering assessments based on applicable codes (e.g API 579, BS7910, ASME B31G, NG18, Shannon and Kastner assessment methods, DNVRP F101 etc - Carry out Pipeline Integrity for all sizes & Lengths of client’s pipelines. Equipment assessment is a plus - Review of Integrity assessment reports, which may include ILI reports, Fitness for Purpose (FFP) / Recommendations for Repair Reports (RRR), ILI raw data, Direct Assessment reports etc. as a primary input - Recommendation for repair and methodology configuration to be adopted for repair, time frame for repair - The responsibility to mentor and coach the graduate engineers - Development of corrosion monitoring philosophies and strategies - Materials and corrosion studies (including coating selection) and specifications - Developing piping inspection strategies and identification of corrosion monitoring locations - Development of corrosion management strategies and corrosion manuals - Performing corrosion-rate calculations, corrosion modelling and contribute to fitness for purpose studies - Assisting in the training and development of other team members - Liaising with clients to develop discrete work scopes and build professional working relationship - Responsible for the ongoing Corrosion Management Programmes and RBI work technical assurance - Liaise with the Wood global offices for support where needed but expected convergence with Wood Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) - Sites Visits outside offices as & when required

Individual needs preferably experience in Oil & Gas, but definitely experience with service agreements in an projects and operational environment. Motivated, self-starter delivering site service contracts in accordance with BGC procedures. PURPOSE - To ensure C&P activities are performed in compliance with BGC Business principles, HSSE policies, Contracting and Procurement procedure, and other guidelines - To develop and implement site service contracts for a variety of OEM Vendors for Greenfield and Brownfield projects ACCOUNTABILITIES - Keep sound working relationships and work effectively with relevant stakeholders including OEM suppliers, whilst maintaining commercial and contractual challenge - Addressing the business and HSSE considerations, risk exposure and meeting the overall project schedule - Manage the (OEM) tender process by coordinating with the Contract Holder(s) and the Project department, obtain the Scope of Work, draft tender documents etc - Structure site service contracts and agreements with the objective of minimising claims and disputes - Ensure that the safety aspects with attention to contractor HSSE, as well as risk, QA/QC, environmental and community relations aspects are captured and documented in the contractual requirements - Follow up with Tenderers to obtain their acknowledgements, clarifications /extensions, issue tender bulletins/addendums, preparation of bid evaluation criteria, receive bids, arrange for bid openings, address contractual /commercial exceptions taken by bidders - Prepare bid evaluation reports, defend its content and obtain its approval - Review and finalise robust contracting documents in cooperation with Legal department - Interact and develop submissions and supporting documents for obtaining approvals from external and internal stakeholders (Tender Committee). - Support with obtaining visa’s, Oil Field Pass etc as required - Ensure that contract spend is recorded in an auditable fashion. Assist in monitoring spend and each contracts ACV - During Project execution, ensure that Contractor complies with all the contractual obligations - Ensure that Change management process is managed effectively, by timely addressing variations and claims - Manage and maintain C&P contract/PO files including Tender Board and Project submissions, signed orders, requisitions, correspondence and other relevant documentation - Ensure SAP is appropriately applied on each contract/PO, and act as a process custodian for the RtP process and pursue standardization
