As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the transformation of our frontend architecture and elevate the user experience across all touchpoints
About the Role
We’re undertaking a major migration from a legacy server-side rendered Django frontend to a modern, component-driven Next.js application. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be at the forefront of this transition, owning the design, implementation, and optimization of our new frontend stack. You will collaborate closely with backend, design, and product teams to ensure a seamless and performant customer experience
Key Responsibilities
- Migration Leadership: Lead the migration of our legacy Django templates to a modern Next.js-based frontend
- Modern Development: Build high-quality, reusable components and pages using React and TypeScript
- Performance Optimization: Ensure fast load times and smooth interactions across all devices, with a focus on Core Web Vitals
- Architecture & Scalability: Define and implement scalable frontend architecture using App Router, modular feature-based structure, and best practices
- Collaboration: Work closely with backend, design, and product teams to align technical solutions with business goals
- Testing & Quality: Maintain a high standard of code quality with unit, integration, and E2E testsCI/CD: Participate in the enhancement of frontend-deployment pipelines for faster iteration and safer releases
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and Next.js (App Router and Server Components preferred).
- Experience migrating large applications from server-side frameworks (like Django) to modern SPA/SSR architectures.
- Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Proficiency with frontend tooling (Vite, Webpack, ESLint, Prettier, Playwright, etc.).
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working with backend teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, and attention to detail.
- Experience in fintech or high-traffic, data-driven applications is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of security best practices in frontend and financial web applications.
- Experience working in hybrid monorepos or full-stack environments.
- Interest in animations, microinteractions, and delightful UX touches.
