Senior OpenStack Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior OpenStack Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain our large-scale cloud infrastructure. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with OpenStack and a deep understanding of virtualization, networking, and distributed storage solutions.

You will play a key role in optimizing our infrastructure for high availability, scalability, and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack as the backbone of our cloud services.
• Optimize and maintain virtualized environments, including Compute (Nova), Networking (Neutron), and Storage (Cinder, Swift, Ceph).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues to ensure system stability and performance.
• Implement robust monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix.
• Enhance server and network resource efficiency for improved performance and scalability.
• Automate infrastructure management with tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Heat.
• Secure access controls and identity management with OpenStack Keystone.
• Integrate OpenStack with other enterprise systems while collaborating closely with DevOps, Networking, and Security teams.
• Develop comprehensive documentation and provide training to technical team.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure management.
• Proven hands-on experience with OpenStack and its core components.
• Expertise in Linux-based operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
• Deep knowledge of Compute (Nova), Storage (Cinder, Swift, Ceph), and Networking (Neutron).
• Experience working with SDN solutions and Open vSwitch (OVS).
• Strong background in virtualization technologies (KVM, QEMU).
• Familiarity with distributed storage systems such as Ceph.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack).
• Strong problem-solving and advanced troubleshooting skills.
