It would also be beneficial if you could separate the related literature into a distinct section. When I first read the manuscript, I didn't fully capture the motivation of your paper. I believe part of the reason is that the objectives and contributions of your paper are not emphasized enough.3. Followed by comment 2, please highlight the challenges and the motivation of your paper. Why specifically we need a bi-directional encoder, like BERT, for damage detection? What is the advantages of using BERT over other neural network models?4. Currently you are handling a binary classification. Can you extend the model to a more complicated tasks like multi-class classification?5. BERT is a great model that capable of handling various data. I do see the potential of BERT is structural health monitoring. Can you use BERT handle more complicated tasks, like system identification\[1\], parameter identification \[2\], damage localization\[3\], etc? A deeper investigation and discussion will be beneficial to readers.6. Are you using the original BERT model or modified BERT?
