At Digikala’s Finance Data Team, we are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented BI developer to help us build robust data solutions that drive critical business decisions. As a part of the financial data domain, you will work closely with finance, accounting, treasury, and other key stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain data models, ETL pipelines, and insightful dashboards that ensure transparency and accuracy in financial operations. Our team plays a strategic role in ensuring data reliability and empowering financial teams with the information they need for reporting, planning, and analysis. You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive, and technically strong team that values curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems, translating business needs into technical solutions, and wants to make a tangible impact on financial decision-making in one of the largest e-commerce ecosystems in the region.

Responsibilities:

• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data from various databases.
• Conduct complex data analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities related to financial performance, working capital, and cash flow.
• Use Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) to automate data processing tasks and improve efficiency in recurring analyses.
• Design and develop insightful, interactive dashboards using Power BI to communicate KPIs and financial metrics to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and business strategy teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports to support financial closing, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reports and dashboards by following best practices in data modeling and validation.
• Continuously improve and optimize existing data pipelines and reporting processes for better performance and scalability.

Qualifications, Competencies & Skills (KSA):

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in BI Development, Data Analysis, or related data-focused roles.
• Experience with ETL tools and Data Warehousing.
• Experience working with financial data domains (e.g., accounting, treasury, financial reporting) is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Familiarity with financial KPIs and metrics such as cash flow, working capital, and settlement cycles.
• Good understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data governance best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization design).
• Experience designing and maintaining SSAS Tabular models, including measure definitions, hierarchies, and partitioning strategies to support scalable and high-performance analytics.
• Experience with Python for data analysis and automation tasks (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Ability to translate complex business questions into technical data solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and responsibility.
• Team player with a proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
