Senior Back-End Developer

Project Overview
We are supporting a strategic digital transformation project in the financial services sector, focused on enhancing internal workflows and customer experience tools — including automation of complaint management and transaction failure handling.

We are looking for a freelance backend developer with solid experience in backend development, automation logic, and API design to join a cross-functional team and contribute to the successful delivery of this initiative.

 Key Responsibilities
Rebuild and improve the backend system for customer complaint processing
Implement automated routines for error handling and failed transaction reprocessing
Develop and maintain APIs related to internal financial workflows (refunds, IRT operations, balance errors, B2B transfers)
Create export/reporting modules for reconciliation and business analysis
Build or assist in building internal tools (UI-based) for operational teams
Write clear documentation and contribute to system specifications
Collaborate with product owners to align on priorities and architecture
Ensure high code quality through testing, debugging, and unit test coverage
 
Tech Stack & Skills Required
Backend:
Node.js, Java, Spring Boot
Python, Shell, Perl (optional)
Databases:
SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB
Web Frameworks (nice to have):
Symfony, Django, Express, Play, Zend
Other:
RESTful API development and consumption
Familiarity with Linux environments (CentOS, Debian)
Agile / Scrum practices
Experience working in cloud or containerized infrastructure
 
Candidate Profile
4+ years of backend development experience
Proven track record of delivering backend solutions from scratch or in ongoing projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and communicate proactively
