Roles & Responsibilities:Fiber Optic Installation and Deployment:Meeting weekly installation target according to performance agreement KPIsConduct site surveys and assess the feasibility of fiber optic installationsOversee the physical installation of fiber optic cables, including underground, aerial, and in-building deploymentsOversee termination and splicing of fiber optic cables using specialized tools and techniquesTest and commission newly installed fiber optic networks to ensure proper functionalityFiber Optic Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fiber optic equipment and componentsCoordinate with network operations teams to ensure efficient fault isolation and restoration of serviceDocumentation and Record-keeping:Maintain detailed documentation of all fiber optic installations, configurations, and maintenance activitiesCreate and update as-built drawings, schematics, and fiber optic cable route mapsDevelop and implement standard operating procedures for fiber optic network managementPrepare comprehensive reports on the performance, reliability, and capacity of the fiber optic infrastructureProject Management and Collaboration:Collaborate with project managers, vendors, network architects, and other stakeholders to plan and execute fiber optic deployment projectsProvide technical guidance and expertise during the design and implementation phases of fiber optic projectsCoordinate with construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth and timely project deliveryCommunicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT,CPG, network operations, and customer service, to address fiber optic-related issues and requirementsContinuous Learning and Professional Development:Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in fiber optic technology, industry standards, and best practicesParticipate in training programs, workshops, and certifications to enhance technical skills and knowledgeContribute to the development of fiber optic-related policies, procedures, and training materials within the organizationShare knowledge and expertise with junior technicians and team members to foster a culture of continuous learningJob Requirements:Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising others.Experience working in a medium organization.Bachelor Degree in (telecommunications, electronics, electricity, computers) or related
