At Pooleno, we’re on a mission to build innovative, high-quality solutions that empower people to trade and invest with confidence. We’re passionate about creating products that are reliable, secure, and easy to use — and we know this is only possible with talented, curious, and driven people on our team.
We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us and help shape the future of our platform while working alongside a group of supportive, skilled professionals who care about excellence and collaboration.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Cloud-Native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Helm, container orchestration)
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton) with experience designing secure and automated deployment workflows
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or similar)
- Deep understanding of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, routing, firewalls)
- Experience managing and tuning databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) with a focus on replication, backup/restore, and high availability
- Strong knowledge of messaging/streaming systems (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ) and scaling them for real-time workloads
- Proficiency in monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, Alertmanager)
- Strong focus on security best practices (mTLS, TLS cert management, Vault/KMS secrets, compliance standards like SOC2/PCI)
- Experience with disaster recovery planning (backups, PITR, failover clusters, RTO/RPO planning)
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed system non-functional needs (throughput, latency, fault tolerance, resilience)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, collaborating with developers, QA, and product owners
- Ability to write and maintain clear documentation (infrastructure diagrams, runbooks, incident response procedures)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, bridging development, product, and operations
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul) for zero-trust networking
- Familiarity with policy enforcement tools (OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno)
- Knowledge of microservice design principles (DDD, CQRS) from an operations perspective
- Exposure to FinTech/Exchange compliance requirements (auditing, logging, security standards)
- Experience with cost monitoring/optimization in cloud environments
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go) for automation
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure for the exchange platform
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and auditable software delivery
- Ensure system reliability and performance by monitoring SLAs, latency, throughput, and error budgets
- Manage Kubernetes clusters, namespaces, and deployments for backend microservices and frontend applications
- Implement and manage observability systems (metrics, logs, traces, alerts) to proactively detect and resolve issues
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling using IaC tools
- Secure infrastructure by managing secrets, certificates, IAM policies, and ensuring compliance with security standards
- Plan and test disaster recovery procedures, ensuring RPO/RTO objectives are met
- Optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency while maintaining resilience and performance
- Collaborate with backend/frontend engineers to design systems that meet both functional and non-functional requirements (latency, HA, compliance, observability)
- Lead and document incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices
- Contribute to architecture reviews and provide operational input into system design decisions
