About the Job
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions across the full BI stack. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Management to transform raw data into actionable insights through reliable data models and clear, well-documented reports and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BI reports and dashboards using Power BI and Metabase.
- Build and manage ETL processes using SSIS to move data into the Data Warehouse.
- Design and maintain Data Warehouse schemas (Star / Snowflake) on SQL Server.
- Develop and maintain analytical data models using SSAS (Tabular or Multidimensional).
- Translate business and product requirements into analytical models and reports.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Management to understand reporting needs.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across BI solutions; document definitions and assumptions.
- Present insights and reports to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
- Continuously improve existing reports, models, and data pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- +3 years proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer, BI Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and analytical modeling concepts.
- Experience working closely with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
Technical Skills
- SQL Server (advanced T-SQL, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning).
- SSIS for ETL and data integration.
- SSAS (Tabular and/or Multidimensional models).
- Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboards, reports).
- Metabase (report and dashboard creation).
- Data Warehouse design (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
- Experience with large datasets and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Medallion and Kimball architecture.
- Familiarity with Python and version control is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS/SE
