Position Summary
As the Editor-in-Chief of Agility, you will lead the content strategy, editorial direction, and quality assurance across all written, visual, and multimedia content. You will work closely with our content team (including writers, designers, and videographer) to ensure every output aligns with Agility’s tone of voice, brand values, and educational mission.
This is a leadership role that combines content operations, editorial supervision, creative review, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Editorial Leadership & Strategy
- Define and own the editorial strategy for Agility’s blog and social media platforms
- Set and maintain tone of voice, content quality standards, and publishing guidelines
- Maintain the editorial calendar and coordinate monthly/quarterly content priorities
- Identify Agile trends and content gaps to steer topic selection and coverage
Content Supervision & Approval
- Review all written content for structure, clarity, value, and editorial consistency
- Provide constructive feedback to content writers and edit high-priority pieces directly
- Final approval for all content before publishing across platforms
- Ensure alignment with SEO best practices and brand messaging
Visual & Video Content Oversight
- Review creative briefs and design outputs delivered by graphic designers
- Approve graphic assets for blog posts and social media
- Collaborate with the videographer to review:
- Video scenarios
- Scripts
- Storyboards
- Supervise the video production process to ensure storytelling, pacing, and brand tone are consistent
- Sign-off on final videos for webinars, explainers, or promotional clips
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with the Social Media Specialist to align publishing cadence
- Collaborate with product team to ensure content supports growth goals
- Manage deadlines and review cycles across all media formats
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years in editorial roles, ideally with at least 2 years in a leadership or editor-in-chief capacity
- Strong experience in digital content creation, including writing, editing, and creative supervision
- Demonstrated understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) or a fast-learning mindset toward them
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Persian and English
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams (writers, designers, videographers)
- Familiarity with SEO principles, content performance metrics, and editorial analytics tools
- Strong visual sensibility and the ability to provide detailed creative feedback
Preferred Skills
- Background in Agile, software development, or technical writing
- Experience in running webinars or multimedia content campaigns
- Understanding of content systems (CMS, social schedulers, analytics platforms)
- Creative storytelling instincts, with an eye for compelling narratives across formats
