1. FMCG Product & Portfolio Management
- Own the product portfolio for assigned categories.
- Map and maintain product hierarchy: core, premium, economy, specialty, strategic SKUs.
- Monitor product life cycle: introduction, growth, maturity, decline; propose SKU launches, changes, and deletions.
- Ensure all technical documents, specs and certifications are updated and available.
- Managing product knowledge.
2. Market & Customer Insight
- Track market trends in dairy, chocolate, bakery and confectionery.
- Analyze competitors: products, prices, claims, strengths/weaknesses.
- Visit key customers with sales to understand applications, pain points and unmet needs.
- Convert customer feedback into clear product and pricing actions.
3. New Product Development & Localization
- Work with supplier and key customers to define new product opportunities.
- Support customer projects:
- Sampling strategy
- Application trials
- Follow-up on results and scale-up
- Prepare and maintain a pipeline of product & application projects with expected volumes and timelines.
4. Sales Enablement & Technical Support
- Develop sales tools: product decks, comparison sheets, application guides.
5. Pricing, Profitability & Commercial Strategy
- Support the design of price lists, discounts and commercial policies for your portfolio.
- Monitor gross margin, volume and profitability by SKU, customer, and segment.
- Recommend price changes, portfolio mix shifts and actions to protect/improve margins.
- Evaluate business cases for new SKUs: target volume, pricing, margin, risks.
6. Data, Reporting & Process
- Work with sales and finance to create simple dashboards.
- Use CRM (and/or Excel/BI) to track.
- Propose and improve standard processes:
- Product launch / delisting
- Complaint handling & root cause on product issues
- Sales team feedback loops
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the main interface between:
- Suppliers’ product/technical teams
- Internal sales & key account teams
- Management and finance
- Support marketing on website content, benchmark tables, product pages and case studies.
