Job Purpose
The Planning & Optimization Senior Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing planning strategies to enhance operational efficiency, resource utilization, and overall business performance. This role ensures accurate forecasting, effective capacity planning, and continuous process optimization to support organizational objectives and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage short-term and long-term planning models.
- Analyze demand forecasts and align operational capacity accordingly.
- Optimize resource allocation (manpower, materials, equipment, and budget).
- Monitor and improve planning accuracy and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify operational bottlenecks and propose data-driven optimization solutions.
- Lead cross-functional coordination between Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments.
- Conduct scenario analysis and risk assessments to support strategic decision-making.
- Design dashboards and deliver analytical performance reports to senior management.
- Support digital transformation and planning automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures.
Qualifications
Work Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Planning, Optimization, Supply Chain, Operations, or related fields.
- Proven experience in demand planning, capacity planning, or performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience in data analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience in E-commerce, Logistics, Telecommunications, or Service industries is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or related discipline) is an advantage.
- Professional certifications in Planning, Supply Chain, or Data Analytics are preferred.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience with data visualization and BI tools (Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, etc.).
- Working knowledge of SQL or other data management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
