1. Operational Strategy & Execution: • Design and implement scalable operational processes that enhance efficiency and productivity. • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure company success. • Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure smooth business continuity. • Lead company-wide process automation initiatives, integrating AI-powered tools and workflow optimizations.
2. Business & Financial Oversight: • Work closely with the CEO to develop strategic business plans and execute operational initiatives. • Oversee financial planning, budget management, and ensure cost-effective resource allocation. • Identify opportunities to optimize expenses while maintaining high operational standards. • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and HR teams to ensure all operations meet regulatory and legal requirements.
3. Technology & Process Improvement: • Drive digital transformation and automation to improve internal workflows. • Utilize AI-based tools and Microsoft Teams automation to enhance efficiency. • Improve data-driven decision-making by implementing business intelligence dashboards and analytics.
4. Team Leadership & Culture: • Manage and mentor cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration and productivity. • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability. • Improve internal communication channels to ensure clarity in business priorities.
Required Skills & Competencies: Strategic & Leadership Skills:
• Proven experience in a COO, Operations Director, or Senior Leadership role in a fast-paced environment (at least 5 years of experience). Having an experience in startup or startup factory or VC as CEO or founder could be an asset.
• Strong business acumen with experience in operational strategy and execution. Having MBA, DBA or any related degree is a must.
• Excellent ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and optimize workflows. Operational & Technical Expertise:
• Experience in business automation, process optimization, and AI-driven efficiencies.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft 365, Teams, Power BI, and workflow automation tools. Using new LLMs and prompt engineering would be an asset
• Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and performance metrics.
Personal & Communication Skills:
• Excellent English communication skills (French is a plus).
• Ability to articulate complex business and operational concepts clearly.
• Highly organized, results-driven, and proactive in executing business strategies. Additional Information:
• This is a contract-based role with the potential for long-term engagement.
• The role is remote-first but requires strong self-management skills.
• Candidates must be goal-oriented, hands-on, and execution-focused.
