Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain FreePBX and Asterisk systems
- Design and configure complex SIP-based solutions to meet the needs of clients
- Develop custom scripts and configurations to meet specific customer requirements
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and recommend solutions that meet their needs
- Participate in project planning and execution to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Stay current with new developments and advancements in the VoIP industry and recommend solutions that will benefit customers
- Support legacy platforms (troubleshooting, bug fixes, scripting, and delivering enhancements as and when required)
- Liaise with 3rd party service suppliers and software vendors as and when required
Qualifications:
- have extensive experience as a VoIP Engineer, mainly focusing on FreePBX, FreeSWTICH, and Asterisk.
- Strong understanding of SIP protocol, network design, and VoIP technologies – on-premise and cloud
- Experience with Linux operating systems and shell scripting
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide commercially viable solutions to complex technical issues.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
