About the role:
We’re hiring a Automation & Robotic Engineer/Analyst to join our Automation & Robotic team. Our mission connects suppliers automation systems to internal software platforms (WMS/WES) and automates processing pipelines. You’ll contribute software expertise, apply data-analysis principles to improve operational decisions, and drive R&D to prototype system-level solutions for intra-logistics and automation.
What you’ll do:
Design and implement software components that connect suppliers’ automation systems with internal WMS/WES and logistics services.
Perform data analysis to identify bottlenecks, define KPIs, and support recommendations for system and process improvements.
Build and maintain dashboards and KPI monitoring solutions to track the performance of key initiatives.
Design end-to-end system and process flows across automation solutions, software platforms, and logistics operations to ensure efficient and reliable execution.
R&D: evaluate new automation and robotics approaches, develop proofs of concept, and translate findings into actionable implementation plans.
Work closely with product, operations, vendors, and engineering teams to deliver designed solutions.
Preparing technical documents and share best practices across teams to accelerate adoption and reuse.
Contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary environment by sharing knowledge, aligning technical efforts, and supporting team objectives.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical or academic experience.
Experience with backend and frontend software development and strong programming skills in at least one language e.g. Python , Java or other programming languages commonly used in software platforms.
Understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, APIs, and communication protocols used in distributed automation and logistics environments.
Knowledge of software architecture principles for designing scalable, modular, and maintainable systems supporting WMS/WES and automation platforms.
Solid hands-on experience with data analysis fundamentals, including SQL, data transformation, and extracting insights from event and log data.
Curious and experimental mindset with demonstrated interest in R&D and structured development planning.
Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge operations, product and engineering perspectives.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify root causes of complex technical and operational challenges and propose effective solutions.
Nice-to-have:
Experience with robotics middleware, frameworks, or industrial communication protocols.
Background in logistics, warehousing, or fulfillment systems and related operational workflows.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), stream processing (Kafka), and observability tools.
Exposure to machine learning models for process optimization, anomaly detection and forecasting.
Familiarity with PLCs, conveyor control systems, or direct hardware interaction.
Familiarity with enterprise logistics software such as ERP, OMS, WMS, or WES.
