TUG is seeking a passionate and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in managing deployments, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring high availability for various projects across Node.js, PHP, and React codebases. If you love automation, performance, and reliability — this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on DigitalOcean and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless code deployment.
- Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security through proactive monitoring and automation.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Manage databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ensure backup and recovery strategies.
- Set up and manage DNS, SSL certificates, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Automate repetitive processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Monitor server performance, uptime, and implement alerts for key metrics.
- Assist in cost optimization and usage monitoring across environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure on DigitalOcean and/or GCP.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Proficiency in Linux server administration and shell scripting.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus).
- Knowledge of web application stacks — Node.js, PHP, React.
- Hands-on experience with database management and performance tuning.
- Understanding of DNS, SSL, Nginx/Apache configuration, and server security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud cost management and optimization.
- Familiarity with scaling systems for high-traffic applications.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
