We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Supervisor to join our team at SnappGrocery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the legal department’s operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing strategic guidance on legal matters. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the legal team, providing mentorship and support to junior legal staff.
- Oversee the preparation and review of legal documents, contracts, and policies to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Provide expert legal advice to various departments within the organization on matters including corporate governance, compliance, intellectual property, and employment law.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
- Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure organizational compliance.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and manage relationships with outside parties as necessary.
- Assist in drafting and negotiating agreements and contracts to protect the organization's interests.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and the board regarding legal risk assessments and strategies.
- Support the resolution of disputes and claims, including coordinating litigation and settlement processes.
Qualifications:
- At least a bachelor degree in law
- Strong understanding of corporate law, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role, with 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
- Working in e-commerce companies is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
