A startup specializing in AI and Software is looking for an experienced Applied AI Engineer to develop and optimize AI-driven backend applications. This full-time remote position focuses on creating applied AI solutions by integrating workflow automation tools and large language models (LLMs) into production systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in backend development, working with Python and JavaScript (Node.js) to build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered applications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize backend AI applications using Python and Node.js, ensuring scalable and efficient integration of LLMs into business workflows.
- Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions, leveraging LLMs and workflow automation tools to streamline document processing, data extraction, and decision-making processes.
- Maintain and improve existing backend applications, ensuring stability, performance, and seamless AI service deployment.
- Integrate AI services with cloud environments, APIs, and enterprise systems, ensuring robust deployment strategies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot AI applications, identifying and resolving issues to maintain high availability and efficiency.
- Stay updated with advancements in AI, LLMs, and backend technologies, implementing best practices to enhance system capabilities.
Your Tasks:
- Design and implement AI-powered backend systems, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Write, test, and maintain code in Python and Node.js, focusing on AI model deployment and API development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, product managers, and frontend developers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
- Proven experience in backend application development with Python and JavaScript (Node.js).
- Hands-on experience working with large language models (LLMs) and AI-powered automation.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI API, LangChain, etc).
- Understanding of API development, microservices architecture, and workflow automation tools.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a keen eye for optimizing AI-driven applications.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering for AI applications.
- Background in natural language processing (NLP) and AI model fine-tuning.
Location:
This is a full-time remote position. Our office in Tehran (Seyed Khandan) hosts occasional work meetings for local team members.
