Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of senior engineers across Network and Virtualization domains, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Architectural Oversight: Define the long-term roadmap for DataCenter infrastructure (Network, Compute, and Storage) to support Wallex’s growth.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Own technical relationships with vendors (Cisco, Fortinet, Dell, VMware, etc.) and collaborate with other teams to align infrastructure with business goals.
• SLA & Performance: Define and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for infrastructure uptime and performance.

• Core Networking: Oversee the design and maintenance of high-performance routing and switching using advanced protocols like BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, and EVPN.
• Network Security: Ensure the integrity of the network perimeter and internal segmentation using firewalls and advanced ACL/IDS/IPS strategies.
• Traffic Management: Optimize data center traffic flow to ensure low latency for crypto-exchange operations.

• Platform Ownership: Drive the architecture and lifecycle management of VMware vSphere/vCenter environments and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).
• Storage Excellence: Oversee the SAN storage fabric (Fibre Channel/iSCSI) and ensure optimal performance and capacity planning for data-intensive applications.
• Data Protection: Lead the strategy for backup, recovery, and Disaster Recovery (DR) using enterprise tools, ensuring zero data loss.

• Incident Command: Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents, leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Automation & IaC: Promote and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to streamline deployments.
• Monitoring & Observability: Establish a unified monitoring strategy for the entire stack (Network, Servers, Storage) to proactively identify bottlenecks.
• Physical Infrastructure: Oversee the physical standards for cabling, racking, and power management within the DataCenter.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in Infrastructure/Network engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior-lead role.
• Expertise in Networking: Deep hands-on knowledge of Cisco Nexus, Expertise in Firewall Devices, and modern DC fabrics (EVPN-VXLAN).
• Expertise in Virtualization: Proven track record in managing large-scale VMware environments and enterprise SAN Storage.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of high-availability (HA) architectures and disaster recovery protocols.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Documentation: Commitment to maintaining "Single Source of Truth" documentation for the entire infrastructure.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking (CNIs) and containerized infrastructure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Professional certifications: CCNP/CCIE (Data Center/RS), NSE 7/8, or VCP/VCAP.
• Experience in FinTech or Crypto sectors.
