Our team is dedicated to uncovering and investing in high-potential blockchain projects through meticulous analysis and data-driven decision-making. We are now seeking a sharp and intelligent Data Scientist & Analyst to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Data Scientist & Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data landscape of our investment fund. You will be responsible for organizing, analyzing, and leveraging data to drive insights that inform our investment strategies and optimize our portfolio's performance. Your work will directly impact our investments and trades positions, portfolio monitoring, overall fund administration, and providing a critical foundation for our investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management & Structuring: Implement a systematic process to organize, clean, import, and restructure data, enabling data-driven insights across the fund’s activities including projects sourcing, trading activities, portfolio monitoring, and fund administration.
- Collaboration with the Data Engineering Team: Work closely with the data engineering team to gather, clean, and analyze trading activity on crypto exchanges and blockchain transaction data.
- Portfolio Analysis: Compile comprehensive portfolio views, gather essential data for valuation, and support the reporting process. Analyze portfolio data to provide financial analysis on returns, asset allocation, and risk exposures.
- Portfolio Optimization: Focus on improving portfolio risk-adjusted returns through sophisticated analysis and strategy back-testing.
- Risk Management: Provide insights on the risk and status of the running portfolio. Identify, measure, and monitor known and potential risks of the fund.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek to enhance internal systems and processes by building tools, implementing automation, and synchronizing the core activities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
Technical Proficiency:
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Familiarity with back-testing risk-adjusted strategies for portfolios.
- Hands-on experience managing APIs and data workflows between applications
Analytical Expertise:
- Proficiency in data analysis methodologies and quantitative analysis.
- Solid understanding of mathematics and statistics, particularly in the context of risk and financial analysis.
- Experience in portfolio optimization and risk management is a plus.
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in data science, data analysis, or a related field within financial services or technology sectors.
- Exposure to blockchain and cryptocurrency markets is a plus.
