We’re looking for an experienced backend engineer who can own large pieces of our architecture while wearing a DevOps hat when needed. You’ll design scalable services, harden our cloud infrastructure, and ensure every deploy is smooth, observable, and recoverable. If you love clean code, infrastructure-as-code, and solving thorny performance issues, we’d love to meet you.
- 8+ years professional software development, 5+ with Python/Django in production.
- Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and data modeling.
- Proven experience running containerized applications in production (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar).
- Hands-on expertise with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and at least one major cloud provider.
- Solid grasp of security best practices (secrets management, IAM, SSL/TLS, OWASP Top 10).
- Comfort with Linux server administration, automated backups, and performance monitoring.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English; you enjoy writing clear documentation.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote, async-first environment
