We are hiring a Junior Applied AI Scientist to join our Data team. In this role, you will contribute to end-to-end applied AI and data projects - from data preparation and analytics to building LLM-powered automations, designing research outputs, and supporting dashboards and reporting. This position is well-suited for someone early in their career who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and excited to learn.
Employment type: Full-time (or near full-time)
Commitment: Long-term, minimum 18 months (not suitable if you expect major near-term changes in location/availability due to obligations such as immigration processes or military service).

Responsibilities
- Support and improve our data warehouse by helping define, validate, and update reporting requirements.
- Build reports and analyses that translate business questions into measurable outcomes.
- Help design optimal surveys and research studies to collect high-quality consumer data.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines (user metrics, scoring, transformations, validations).
- Build and iterate on AI/LLM pipelines (prompt engineering, agent workflows, automation steps).
- Maintain data orchestration workflows (e.g., scheduling, monitoring, reliability improvements).
- Provide QA for imported data, reporting outputs, and insight deliverables.
- Build and maintain dashboards in tools such as Metabase and/or Power BI.
- Maintain a data catalog (SQL tables, dashboards, reports) and document data processes clearly.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree (or current undergrad student) from a top-5 university in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, applied sciences, or statistics.
- Super detail-oriented and obsessed with data accuracy
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
- Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine requirements
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
- Continuously monitors and experiments with cutting-edge AI and LLM innovations to integrate emerging capabilities into real-world applications.
- Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
- Experience in developing AI automations or pipelines
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
- High-level written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experienced in MSSQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow
- Beginner knowledge of Python is a must, and advanced knowledge is a plus
