POSITION SUMMARY
Implement and execute a compelling category story that is adapted from the Cluster/BU direction by being the go-to expert on the ground, representing the category’s interests and direction while working closely with key stakeholders on building, implementing, and monitoring the category performance and delivering on the shopper agenda.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
- Drive category expertise on the ground while representing the category and support sales and BU to win in the market influence the customer agenda and win with shoppers.
- Gather and share shopper insights and understanding while adapting actions within the retail landscape while identifying and actioning opportunities based on prioritized channels to execute key category initiatives.
- Manage category gaps on the channel/customer level by recommending a course of action with the sales community to deliver on category objectives.
- Monitor and analyze competitive activities in the trade and recommend/adjust the category’s commercial activities to drive a positive ROI.
- Drive category/customer data analytics while assessing performance and driving actionable plans alongside the country’s management team to deliver on category objectives.
- Establish category drivers for coffee in Iran in line with MENA cat.
- Ensure flawless trade activations, handling A&P tasks.
What Will Make You Successful?
- At least 3 years of managerial experience in marketing or sales within the industry with key deliverables of trade marketing and in-store execution.
- Demonstrated high-level leadership/project management/execution at the point of sales/purchase.
- Interrupting potential shoppers/consumers through understanding of where/when/how to engage. (i.e. product trials at universities).
- Understanding of the coffee business with a background in a relevant field.
- Higher education in business management and marketing with an excellent track record, in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong learning agility and analytical skills.
- Project management skills and ability to motivate, lead, and influence people.
- A good understanding of digital marketing is a plus.
- Experience/good understanding of digital media and e-commerce is a plus.
