About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Industrial Engineer to support the design and manufacturing of physical products across multiple materials. You’ll work from CAD design to production-ready solutions, focusing on sheet metal, plastic, and wood components, while collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize parts/assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Create manufacturable designs for sheet metal, plastic, and wood parts
- Prepare technical drawings, BOMs, and production documentation
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability and reduce cost
- Support prototyping, testing, and production troubleshooting
- Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure quality and feasibility
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Experience working with sheet metal, plastic parts, and wood manufacturing
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and materials
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
Advantages (Nice to Have)
- Experience using AI tools to improve engineering productivity (documentation, analysis, CAD support, etc.)
- Experience working with Chinese suppliers / manufacturers (communication, technical follow-up, production coordination)
- Familiarity with quality control processes and scaling to mass production
- Portfolio or examples of previous engineering/design work
