Flooring Surgeons is an e-commerce online shopping site, delivery flooring across the entire UK, including Scotland and Wales. We’re looking for a HIGHLY skilled Senior Shopify Developer to join our growing team.

Key responsibilities as a perfect-fit candidate
You’re self-sufficient and can lead end-to-end development of Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, from architecture to deployment. You’ll work closely with UI/UX designers, project managers, to bring eCommerce visions to life; building custom themes, integrations, and features that drive business growth / sales.

- Develop, test, and maintain custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Customize existing Shopify themes and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Implement third-party integrations and Shopify Apps.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into responsive eCommerce sites.
- Optimize stores for speed, SEO, and mobile usability.
- Stay updated with Shopify updates, APIs, and industry best practices. 
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Shopify and Liquid templating language.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
- Experience building or customizing Shopify themes from scratch.
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus, headless commerce, and Storefront API is a plus.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- At least a minimum understanding of English language. 
Nice to Have
- Experience with other eCommerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Magento).
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with Figma or Adobe XD for design interpretation.
- Experience with Shopify Hydrogen and React is a big plus.
