About the Position

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our data platform team, which designs, builds, and maintains the infrastructure and services that support scalable, reliable, and secure data processing across the organization. While deep experience is not required, candidates should have a solid grasp of fundamental data concepts, a strong willingness to learn, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. We value technical curiosity, initiative, and the ability to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities

●     Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines

●     Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code practices

●     Maintain and enhance Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests for deploying data services

●     Monitor system health and performance, and implement alerting and self-healing mechanisms

●     Ensure resilience, high availability, scalability, and security of infrastructure components

●     Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data services into their platforms

●     Troubleshoot deployment issues and conduct root cause analysis in production environments

●     Contribute to internal documentation and establish best practices for infrastructure management and automation

 

Requirements

●     Familiarity with Kubernetes architecture and experience maintaining Helm charts and writing Kubernetes manifests for deploying data services.

●     Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools, specifically Ansible, and a solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code principles.

●     Familiar with querying concepts across SQL and NoSQL systems, including both OLTP and OLAP workloads.

●     Working knowledge of ETL and ELT processes, along with an awareness of how they are applied in data workflows.

●     Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python, along with a basic understanding of Bash scripting.

●     Ability to create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and automation workflows.

●     Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, openness to feedback, and a proactive approach to solving challenges in a dynamic environment.

●     Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and adapting quickly within the evolving data engineering landscape.
