Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong analytical and modeling skills to join our Marketing Insight team. This role goes beyond basic data analysis, requiring the ability to design and apply practical statistical models as well as simple predictive models such as regression, time series forecasting, and tree-based methods. The successful candidate will deliver insights that improve sales performance, customer engagement, and demand forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of sales data to identify patterns, opportunities, and areas of concern.
- Analyze customer behavior, segmentations, and drivers of sales performance.
- Identify the impact of campaigns, seasonality, pricing, and competition on sales outcomes.
- Develop forecasting and predictive models using techniques such as time series, regression, and tree-based models (e.g., decision trees, random forests in simple applications).
- Build models to support scenario planning, sales optimization, and demand prediction.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to translate data into actionable business strategies.
- Design reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong foundation in statistics, econometrics, and applied modeling.
- Hands-on experience with forecasting and predictive methods, including regression, time series, and tree-based models.
- Ability to build, test, and validate analytical models using tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Proficiency with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience handling large datasets and applying structured approaches to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive and collaborative mindset, capable of working independently and in cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis and modeling, preferably in marketing, e-commerce, or retail.
- Practical experience in developing and implementing forecasting and predictive models.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL, and analytical programming.
Nice to Have
- Experience with advanced forecasting models (e.g., ARIMA, Prophet).
- Background in consumer behavior and digital marketing analytics.
- Knowledge of experimental design and A/B testing in marketing.
