QA Engineer

At Okala, we are looking to hire a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer who approaches quality with an engineering mindset.
In this role, you will help ensure product quality across the entire development lifecycle and continuously improve testing processes to support fast and reliable releases.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensure product quality by identifying defects early in the development lifecycle and preventing regressions.
• Design, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios based on product requirements and user behavior.
• Perform thorough manual testing of web applicationsو APIs and mobile to validate functionality, usability, and reliability.
• Execute API, integration, and end-to-end testing to validate system behavior across services.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers engineers to deliver stable and high-quality releases.
• Investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide clear, actionable bug reports.
• Support CI/CD workflows by ensuring automated tests run reliably and provide fast feedback.
• Continuously improve testing approaches, tools, and processes to increase quality and delivery speed.

What You Bring

• Strong experience in software QA with solid knowledge of testing principles and best practices.

• Hands-on experience with test case design, execution, and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, or similar).

• Practical experience with API testing tools such as Postman.

• Ability to write and understand SQL queries for data verification and backend testing.

• Good understanding of web applications, APIs, and client-server architecture.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Clear documentation and bug reporting skills.

• Comfortable working with Jira, Confluence, and collaborative development workflows.

• Analytical mindset with strong exploratory testing abilities.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and challenges.
