Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at LIAN VISMAN. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our freight forwarding business, ensuring the smooth coordination of logistics, transportation, and supply chain functions. You will oversee team performance, optimize processes, and ensure that all operations comply with industry regulations and company standards.

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our freight forwarding business, ensuring the smooth coordination of logistics, transportation, and supply chain functions. You will oversee team performance, optimize processes, and ensure that all operations comply with industry regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day freight forwarding operations, including shipping, customs clearance, and transportation management.
- Ensure efficient and timely movement of goods by coordinating with carriers, suppliers, and vendors.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance productivity, minimize delays, and ensure cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and manage the entire logistics process, ensuring proper documentation for imports, exports, and customs compliance.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to manage client expectations and provide solutions to operational challenges.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage relationships with freight carriers, customs brokers, and other third-party service providers.
- Resolve issues related to delays, damaged goods, and customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all shipments comply with international and domestic regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage the operations team, providing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a commercial or operations team, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and transportation management.
- Proven track record in managing freight forwarding operations and logistics teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to analyze and optimize logistics processes and reduce operational costs.
- Proficient in freight forwarding software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in freight forwarding.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills are essential for effective communication and coordination with international clients, suppliers, and partners.
Preferred Certifications:
- FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding.
- Commercial Management in Shipping Certificate.
