Job Description
As a TechOps Specialist, you will act as the critical link between our Tier-1 Support Team and Development Team, ensuring smooth technical operations, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining system reliability. You will handle advanced technical investigations, optimize monitoring and logging systems, and perform operational tasks to reduce the load on the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve escalated technical issues from Tier-1 support by analyzing logs, debugging systems, and applying fixes or workarounds.
- System Monitoring & Logging: Utilize ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus) to detect, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Database Operations: Perform SQL queries, data validation, and backups on relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Linux Server Management: Administer Linux-based systems via CLI, including log inspection, service management, and basic troubleshooting.
- Incident Escalation: Document and escalate unresolved issues to the Development Team with detailed findings and reproduction steps.
- Automation & Scripting: Write basic scripts (Python, Bash, etc.) to automate repetitive tasks, log parsing, and system checks.
- Support Process Improvement: Maintain and expand the knowledge base, document solutions, and train Tier-1 support on recurring issues.
- Operational Tasks: Conduct routine system health checks, backup validations, and performance monitoring to prevent outages.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers and support teams to streamline workflows and reduce technical debt.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of Elasticsearch for log analysis and search operations.
- Proficiency in relational databases (SQL queries, indexing, optimization).
- Hands-on experience with Linux servers (CLI, log analysis, cron jobs, permissions).
- Familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration.
- Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).

- Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years in TechOps, DevOps, or Tier-2+ technical support roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- Familiarity with the financial technology (fintech) industry.
