As a Senior IP & Registration Specialist at Digikala, you will play a key role in safeguarding and managing the company’s intellectual property assets across multiple jurisdictions. This position requires a strategic, detail-oriented professional with strong expertise in intellectual property law who can work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external legal partners to ensure the effective registration, protection, and enforcement of IP rights.
Key Responsibilities
IP Registration & Portfolio Management
- Manage end-to-end processes for the registration and maintenance of intellectual property assets, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and domain names.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel and relevant authorities to ensure timely filings, renewals, and compliance.
- Oversee and maintain Digikala’s IP portfolio, ensuring effective protection across all applicable jurisdictions.
IP Strategy & Advisory
- Provide strategic advice on identifying, protecting, and leveraging intellectual property assets.
- Advise internal teams on IP-related matters, including branding, product development, technology, and licensing.
- Monitor competitor IP activities and industry trends to identify potential risks and strategic opportunities.
Enforcement & Dispute Support
- Support IP enforcement actions, including infringement analysis, cease-and-desist communications, and litigation preparation.
- Collaborate closely with the legal team and external counsel to protect Digikala’s rights in disputes and infringement cases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, product, technology, and business teams to embed IP strategy into business initiatives.
- Conduct internal training sessions and raise awareness on intellectual property best practices and compliance.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of IP filings, registrations, licenses, and related documentation.
- Prepare regular reports on the status and performance of the IP portfolio for internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in intellectual property, with a focus on registration, protection, and enforcement.
- Experience managing or supporting a multi-jurisdictional or global IP portfolio is highly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of national and international IP laws, regulations, and emerging trends.
