Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical or Chemical Engineer to join our software team to assist wit developing an engineering software . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design of water and wastewater treatment plants or similar process-related facilities. This role requires proficiency in creating technical drawings, generating process flow diagrams, and producing high-quality content for our in-house design software. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for vendor interactions, proposal requests, and the creation of technical and sales materials for our company website.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Drafting:
- Utilize Microsoft Visio for drafting Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs).
- Generate process flow diagrams and P&IDs using company-developed software.
- Create detailed and accurate technical drawings for water and wastewater treatment plants or related processes.
- Content Creation:
- Develop and produce high-quality content in English for the company's in-house design software.
- Create engaging and informative technical and sales material for the company website.
- Vendor and Partnership Management:
- Contact vendors to request proposals and establish business partnerships.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to ensure favorable outcomes for the company.
- Technical Sales Support:
- Run and manage software applications related to process design and simulation.
- Provide technical support to the sales team, assisting with customer inquiries and technical evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment plants or similar process-related facilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and experience with drafting P&IDs.
- Familiarity with process flow diagrams and related documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to create technical content for software applications.
- Experience in vendor management and proposal requests.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with company-developed or proprietary software for process design.
- Previous experience in a technical sales role.
- Knowledge of additional design and simulation software.
