About the Role
We are looking for a Security Engineer to work closely with our development teams to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across our applications.
In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to define, implement, and continuously improve security controls, ensuring the resilience and trustworthiness of WallGold’s platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance and support in addressing cybersecurity threats.
- Conduct threat modeling and support secure SDLC practices; train development teams on how to apply them effectively.
- Audit and review application code from a security perspective.
- Participate in security issue management and incident response processes.
- Educate and support development teams in performing security-related activities.
- Research and benchmark security best practices from other organizations.
- Stay up to date with new vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and countermeasures, particularly in the fintech and cryptocurrency domain.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with security frameworks and standards such as OWASP Top 10.
- Relevant experience contributing to the security of web applications (e.g., penetration testing, red team, blue team activities, CTF participation).
- Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., PHP, Golang, etc.).
- Experience in the financial industry, FinTech, and/or cryptocurrency environments.
- Experience working with a security-focused software development lifecycle in fast-paced environments.
- Strong interest in automating security processes using modern scripting languages or automation tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated security integrations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Code audit experience is considered a plus.
