About Tealink
Tealink is the first digital hub for the Persian diaspora across the U.S. and Canada , built by
Persians, for Persians. We connect our community through cultural, social, and business events
while providing a curated platform for Persian-owned services and businesses.
Our mission is to strengthen community bonds, create opportunities, and celebrate Persian
identity across borders.
We’re an early-stage startup with a live Flutter app, a NestJS/Node.js backend, and a growing
community. We’re now seeking a Senior Backend & DevOps Engineer to scale our
infrastructure, power our data pipelines, and ensure the platform performs seamlessly as we
grow.

Your Role
As a Senior Backend & DevOps Engineer at Tealink, you will:
● Lead backend development using NestJS (Node.js + TypeScript).
● Design and implement scalable APIs for events, matchmaking, and business discovery.
● Build and maintain intelligent web crawlers to aggregate event and business data from
multiple sources.
● Work with Logstash + Ruby pipelines to ingest, clean, and normalize large volumes of
event and business data.
● Optimize Elasticsearch for advanced search, filtering, and recommendations.
● Manage and scale cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) , deployments, CI/CD, monitoring,
and performance.
● Serve as GCP console admin, configuring API keys, monitoring API usage, setting
usage and billing limits, managing credentials, and ensuring secure integrations.
● Configure and maintain Docker, NGINX, and logging systems.
● Integrate Firebase for authentication, messaging, and analytics
● Ensure security, reliability, and scalability across backend and data pipelines.
● Collaborate closely with frontend (Flutter) and product teams to ship features quickly and
efficiently.

What We’re Looking For
● 5+ years of backend development experience.
● Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
● Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch (indexing, querying, and optimization).
● Proven ability to build and maintain web crawlers / scrapers (e.g., using Puppeteer,
Ruby, or Nokogiri).
● Familiarity with Logstash, Ruby pipelines, or other ETL frameworks for data ingestion.
● Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
● Experience integrating Firebase services (Auth, Firestore, Messaging).
● Strong understanding of API security, monitoring, and scalable architecture.
● Bonus: Experience with event platforms, social/community apps, or marketplaces.
