Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and insightful Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. As a Data Scientist at Koocafe, you will play a key role in leveraging data to understand user behavior, optimize our platform, enhance the café experience, and drive strategic business decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and marketing to uncover insights and build data-driven products and features.
We are seeking a talented and insightful Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. As a Data Scientist at Koocafe, you will play a key role in leveraging data to understand user behavior, optimize our platform, enhance the café experience, and drive strategic business decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and marketing to uncover insights and build data-driven products and features.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, collect, clean, and transform data from various sources related to user activity, cafe performance, and market trends.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify actionable insights, patterns, and opportunities for growth and platform improvement.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning models to enhance user experience (e.g., personalized recommendations, search ranking) and optimize business processes (e.g., demand forecasting, churn prediction).
- Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and effectively communicate findings across the organization.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define data requirements, implement data tracking, and integrate data-driven solutions into our platform.
- Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of new features or strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, statistical modeling, and relevant technologies.
- Present complex findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- High level of English, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with at least 4 years of hands-on experience applying data science techniques to solve real-world business problems.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, particularly Python (preferred) or R.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts, experimental design, and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, NLP).
- Experience with core data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation from relational databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn) to communicate insights effectively.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data/ML services is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
