Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Government Relations Specialist to lead and manage Digikala’s interactions with governmental bodies, regulatory authorities, and public institutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in monitoring regulatory developments, influencing public policy, mitigating regulatory risks, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and government requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive government relations strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with relevant government authorities, regulators, and policymakers.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting e-commerce, digital platforms, consumer protection, taxation, logistics, and technology sectors.
- Analyze policy changes and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership.
- Represent Digikala in meetings, working groups, industry associations, and public forums.
- Prepare policy briefs, position papers, official correspondence, and regulatory reports.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, PR, Operations, and Marketplace teams.
- Proactively identify regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support crisis management related to regulatory or governmental matters.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Law.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, regulatory affairs, or policy advisory roles.
- Strong understanding of Iran’s regulatory environment, particularly in digital economy and e-commerce sectors.
- Established network within relevant governmental and regulatory institutions is highly preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and technology-driven environment.
- Fluency in Persian and professional proficiency in English.
Preferred Competencies
- Experience in large corporations, tech companies, or regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with public policy advocacy and industry associations.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Strong project management skills.
