The mission of a Junior Pricing Data Analyst is to support the pricing team by analyzing data, monitoring key pricing metrics, and assisting in improving and implementing pricing strategies for the platform. This role focuses on learning how pricing decisions are made while contributing to day-to-day analysis related to demand, supply, time of day, location, and other operational factors. The junior analyst works closely with senior analysts and stakeholders to help ensure pricing remains competitive, fair, and aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Support pricing data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential improvement areas under the guidance of senior team members.
- Extract data from primary and secondary sources using SQL and existing automated tools.
- Monitor pricing and business performance metrics and report irregularities or deviations.
- Contribute to maintaining and updating existing databases, tables, and data pipelines.
- Perform basic statistical analysis to summarize data and support decision-making.
- Create, maintain and automate reports and dashboards to communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
- Assist in executing pricing experiments and A/B tests, including data preparation and result analysis.
- Collaborate with other Commercial teams on pricing-related features and initiatives.
Requirements
- Entry-level or early-career role, with 0-2 years of experience.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language used in data analysis, preferably Python (experience with pandas and NumPy; exposure to scikit-learn is a plus).
- Fundamental understanding of statistics, including descriptive statistics and basic experimental concepts.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly using simple visualizations and written explanations.
- Comfortable working with incomplete or ambiguous data.
- Familiarity with ML and LLM concepts and tools is a plus.
- Academic background in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is a plus.
