Role Purpose:
The Infrastructure & Systems Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s on-premise and data center infrastructure.
This role focuses on servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backup, monitoring, and high availability, while also providing internal IT support to company employees.
The position requires a full-time on-site presence to ensure infrastructure stability, rapid incident response, and effective coordination with internal teams and external service providers.
The DevOps team manages container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. This role is responsible for the underlying virtualized infrastructure that supports these platforms.
Core Networking Skills:
- Solid understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, subnetting, and VLANs
- Configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of routers and switches
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, MikroTik, HP, and Ubiquiti equipment
- Organizational-level Routing & Switching: Static Routing, OSPF, BGP (working knowledge)
- Network services, including NAT, DHCP, and DNS
- Familiarity with WAN, MPLS, and VPN technologies (Site-to-Site and Remote Access)
- Basic understanding of load balancing and network redundancy concepts

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor on-premise servers and data center infrastructure
- Operate and manage virtualization platforms and virtual machines
- Implement, monitor, and regularly test backup and recovery processes
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and capacity
- Provide IT support for internal company employees
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors, including VoIP service providers.
- Serve as the internal technical point of contact for third-party infrastructure services.
- Collaborate closely with the DevOps team on infrastructure dependencies
- Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date infrastructure documentation
- Participate in infrastructure improvement, optimization, and modernization initiatives
