Job Summary
We are seeking a Digital Drilling, Workover & Completion Engineer with solid upstream oil & gas operational experience and a strong interest in digital transformation and data-driven decision-making.
This role bridges field operations and digital technologies, focusing on transforming drilling, workover, and completion data into actionable insights through analytics, dashboards, automation, and modern digital tools. The ideal candidate understands real operational challenges and can translate them into intelligent digital solutions that improve performance, reduce risk, and enhance managerial visibility.

 
Key Responsibilities
A) Drilling, Workover & Completion Engineering
Contribute to the design and preparation of drilling, workover, completion, and well intervention programs
Prepare preliminary cost estimates (CBS), time breakdowns (TBD), and operational documentation
Participate in engineering design activities including casing, BHA, completion equipment, and wellhead systems
Prepare and maintain operational reports (daily, weekly, final well reports, lessons learned)
Support field operations through technical supervision and follow-up when required
 
B) Digital Transformation & Data Analytics
Design and maintain digital dashboards and KPI reports covering ROP, NPT, PT, cost, time, and operational performance
Automate repetitive engineering and reporting workflows using scripting and data-processing tools
Integrate data from multiple sources (daily drilling reports, sensors, engineering software) into centralized datasets
Support real-time or near real-time monitoring of operations and performance metrics
Structure and maintain digital well databases for drilling, workover, and completion activities
 
C) Software & Visualization (Value-Added)
Contribute to the development of data-driven dashboards and user interfaces for drilling and operational applications
Collaborate with software and IT teams on data models, APIs, and system integration
Support visualization of complex engineering data in a clear and intuitive manner
Participate in the digitalization of legacy workflows and engineering tools
 
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum or Drilling Engineering
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in drilling, workover, or completion operations
Mandatory Digital Skills
Proficiency in Python or similar analytical/programming tools
Experience with BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
Solid understanding of data management, KPI definition, and process automation
Engineering & Domain Knowledge
Practical understanding of drilling, workover, and completion workflows
Familiarity with operational performance indicators and reporting requirements
 
Preferred / Advantageous Skills
Experience with front-end or dashboard development (e.g., React, JavaScript, modern UI frameworks)
Familiarity with engineering or operational software platforms (e.g., well design or drilling software)
Basic understanding of machine learning, predictive analytics, or operational risk analysis
Exposure to IoT, SCADA, or real-time operational data systems
