About the Role:
We are hiring a dynamic and hands-on HR Generalist to support both core HR functions and recruitment activities at SternX.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments, understands the nuances of tech and SaaS teams, and is passionate about creating a great employee experience while scaling a people-first culture.
You’ll take ownership of everything from recruitment to policies, employee relations to compliance, becoming a strategic partner for both employees and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Employee Engagement
- Develop, implement, and maintain clear HR policies and procedures aligned with company goals
- Manage employee lifecycle: onboarding, engagement, retention, and offboarding
- Address employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts professionally
- Manage HR documentation, benefits, leave policies, and internal compliance
- Ensure HR data accuracy in systems/tools and manage HR reports
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Own end-to-end hiring process: sourcing, screening, interviews, offer rollouts
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and define job roles
- Build and maintain a pipeline of quality candidates for tech and non-tech roles
- Manage the onboarding experience to ensure smooth integration into the company
People Development
- Assist in designing performance management cycles (OKRs, reviews, feedback)
- Plan employee training programs and skills development initiatives
- Promote a high-performance, feedback-driven, and inclusive culture
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in core HR and recruitment, preferably in startups, product-based, or SaaS environments
- Strong grasp of Indian labor laws, employee compliance, and HR operations
- Hands-on experience with recruitment tools (LinkedIn, ATS, job portals)
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating across departments
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields
