Technical Team Lead

Role Overview
As the Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading the technical direction of various software projects, primarily in industrial oil and gas domains. You will oversee the development of web-based platforms, predictive maintenance software, and data-driven BI dashboards for oil and gas. Your role will include managing cross-functional teams, aligning business and technical goals, and ensuring the successful execution of product development lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional development team (software developers, data engineers, UX/UI designers, etc.). 
• Define the architecture and technology stack for applications in predictive maintenance, BI dashboards, and energy management systems. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions that are scalable, efficient, and secure. 
• Own the end-to-end technical delivery of products, from design to implementation and deployment. 

Software Development for Predictive Maintenance

• Develop and oversee the creation of software solutions that use IoT data, AI/ML models, and analytics to predict equipment failures and optimize maintenance schedules in oil and gas facilities. 
• Integrate data from sensors, SCADA systems, and other industrial equipment for real-time monitoring and alerting. 
• Collaborate with data scientists to implement machine learning models and predictive algorithms within the software platform. 

Web Development for BI Dashboards

• Lead the development of web-based business intelligence dashboards for real-time visualization of key performance metrics (KPIs) in energy management and WRFM. 
• Ensure data is presented in a user-friendly, actionable format to assist operators in making informed decisions. 
• Implement APIs and microservices architecture for data integration from multiple sources (SCADA, ERP, IoT platforms). 

Project Management and Collaboration

• Coordinate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure project timelines, scope, and quality are met. 
• Provide technical guidance and establish best practices for software development, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews. 
• Lead Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) to drive efficient project delivery. 

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or tech lead role.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in the oil and gas industry or industrial software (predictive maintenance, energy management, or WRFM) is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Programming: Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript (React, Vue), C++, C#, etc.
• Web Development: Strong experience with web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript), RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for developing and deploying cloud-based solutions.
• Predictive Maintenance: Familiarity with IoT protocols, sensor integration, and AI/ML models for predictive maintenance.
• BI Tools: Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or custom dashboard development.
• Databases: Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Data Engineering: Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data lakes, and streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark).
