The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and preparing accurate financial reports. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure timely and accurate postings of transactions.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
- Coordinate and support external audits and tax preparations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff as needed.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A CPA or CMA certification is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis, is required.
