Responsibilities:
- Evaluate potential vendors and suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and can provide the necessary goods or services.
- Develop and maintain quality control standards and procedures for Vendor Excellence Specialists to follow.
- Maintain accurate records of vendor assessments, audits, and quality control activities. Prepare reports on vendor performance and compliance.
- Identify and address any quality issues or non-compliance issues with vendors promptly. Work with Vendor Excellence Specialists to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with Vendor Excellence Specialists to identify areas for improvement in quality processes and practices.
- Provide training and support to Vendor Excellence Specialists on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, production, and quality assurance teams, to ensure alignment on quality standards and requirements.
- Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate quality control activities and projects related to vendor management, including new vendor onboarding and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that Vendor Excellence Specialists' quality control efforts are aligned with customer expectations and satisfaction goals.
- Monitor vendor excellence team members' performance and report on their progress to the team manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science or related fields
- At least 2 to 3 years of work experience in quality control and customer support; Experience in the software industry is an advantage.
- Understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting quality data and performance metrics.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing vendor performance and quality metrics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute quality control initiatives and vendor management projects.
