What You’ll Do

• Infrastructure & Cloud:
  • Manage and optimize AWS resources (EKS, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.) to ensure high availability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee VM, docker and Kubernetes container orchestration, monitoring through Grafana, and system health metrics.
• DevOps & CI/CD:
  • Own and improve our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and automated code deployments from GitHub to staging and production environments.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers to implement best-in-class release practices and maintain engineering velocity.
• Data Engineering & Pipelines:
  • Build and manage data pipelines using Celery (or Celery-like) queue and scheduling systems.
  • Work with relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases, handling ingestion of complex on-chain data.
  • Ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance across a variety of data workflows.
• MLOps & Model Integration:
  • Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize ML models, from development to production deployment.
  • Implement monitoring , model versioning, and retraining pipelines for real-time data applications.
• API & Backend Development:
  • Develop and maintain scalable API architectures using REST and GraphQL.
  • Write clean, scalable, and tested Python code that adheres to best practices in architecture and design.
  • Extend and maintain our internal Django Admin interface used for managing user subscriptions, integrating with Stripe, and overseeing operational dashboards.
• Production Engineering:
  • Help set up and maintain staging/production environments, managing releases with minimal downtime.
  • Ensure application performance, monitoring, and incident management for a high-availability environment.
• Performance Optimization & Site Reliability:
  Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across our backend and infrastructure stack to reduce latency and improve reliability.
  Work with frontend and DevOps teams to apply best practices in caching, query optimization, and load handling for a faster user experience.

Who You Are

• 5+ Years of Experience in a similar fast-paced startup environment (or equivalent high-growth tech setting).
• Expertise in Python: You’ve built reliable, scalable services using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django, etc.).
• AWS Proficiency: Deep knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.
• Strong DevOps Skills: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.), containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a big plus.
• Data Engineering Background: Comfortable managing both relational (Postgres) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases, optimizing queries, and structuring data pipelines.
• MLOps Experience: Familiarity with integrating ML models into production, monitoring their performance, and handling versioning.
• Queue & Scheduling: Experience with Celery-like queue systems, job scheduling, and asynchronous processing.
• High-Quality Coding: You write clean, well-tested, and well-structured code that scales. You can balance speed with quality.
• Team Player: You enjoy collaborating with diverse teams (data scientists, analysts, product managers) and can communicate complex technical topics clearly.
