About the Role
At Cloudinator, we’re seeking a Test Engineer who will test new features on a daily basis to maintain the quality and reliability of our Cloud solutions. As a key member of our QA team, you’ll design, execute, and automate tests, identify potential bugs early, and collaborate with a global team to ensure we deliver top-tier performance every time.
Responsibilities
- Daily Testing of New Features
- Proactively test newly developed features, bug fixes, and enhancements on a daily basis.
- Update and refine test cases in tandem with feature releases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Bug Identification & Reporting
- Document defects thoroughly, prioritising critical issues for swift resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers to verify fixes and maintain software integrity.
- API & Integration Testing
- Design and execute API tests to validate seamless integration with third-party services.
- Use tools like Postman (or similar) to confirm accurate and secure data flows.
- Performance & Security Checks
- Monitor metrics (e.g., throughput, latency) and contribute to security testing to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Suggest enhancements to optimise application performance and protect user data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and share test outcomes.
- Communicate testing progress and risks and release readiness with clarity.
Requirements
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3+ years of QA or software testing experience.
- Technical Proficiency
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Linux commands.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language.
- Strong understanding of APIs, web applications, and testing methodologies.
- Analytical & Communication Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to generate clear, concise documentation and bug reports.
- Strong English language skills to communicate effectively with our international business and marketing teams (especially in India).
- Comfortable working with cross-functional, geographically diverse teams.
Advantageous Skills
- Experience with performance or security testing tools.
- Background in technologies (caching, load balancing, edge computing).
- Familiarity with test management platforms.
- Experience with agile development processes and related tools (e.g., Jira).
